Tue, August 26: RNAC General Meeting, 6:30 pm

The next monthly meeting of the Rocky Neck Art Colony will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 6:30 pm in the Bryan Gallery. Nominations for open positions on the Executive Committee will be made at the meeting, including President, Treasurer, Secretary, Artistic Director and Marketing Director. For more information about these positions, see the Rocky Neck Art Colony By Laws.

Beauport: Upcoming Events

Tea by the Sea Thursday,  August 28

Seatings from 12 to 1 PM and 3 to 4 PM

Bring your friends and family to enjoy an elegant tea on the terrace at Beauport overlooking Gloucester Harbor. The tea, which includes scones, finger sandwiches, and sweets, is accompanied by the soft sounds of classical guitar playing in the background. A full tour of the house is offered after each of the two sittings. $20 Historic New England members, $30 Nonmembers. Registration required.

Every Thursday in August, Beauport is open until 7 p.m. Additional tours at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. are available at the regular price. No reservations needed.

Wine at Twilight Friday, August 22, 6:30 - 9 PM

Begin the evening with a house tour as the setting sun glints off the colored glass in the Golden Step Room and admire Sleeper's magical lighting effects throughout the interior. Then join Hannah Menzer of Alfalfa Farm Winery as she leads a twilight wine tasting on the Beauport terrace, with its breathtaking views of Gloucester Harbor. $25 Historic New England members, $35 Nonmembers. Registration required.

Gallery for Rent

The Avery-Mann Gallery is available for rent from August 28 to September. 2 The rent is $300. plus a 15% commission on all sales. Anyone interested should send a letter to the Residency Committee outlining their intended use of the space, 10 images that reflect what they will exhibit and a Resume of their Professional experience.
